Welcome to the Manchester Elementary School!
I am Rick Wilson and I am Principal of Manchester Elementary School. We are a K-5 school with a student population of 185 and are located in Manchester, Maine. Manchester is located within the boundaries of Augusta, Hallowell, Readfield, West Gardiner and Winthrop. As of the census of 2000, Manchester has a population of 2,472.

We are proud of our school and its students for many reasons. We are completely networked with Internet access in each classroom. We have a beautiful science lab where students are provided with opportunities to expand their knowledge in this area through experiments and other hands-on experiences. We have a very active parent organization (PTCO), which works hard each year to provide a myriad of enrichment activities for our students. The school committee if very supportive of education. Our volunteer force is an integral part of our institution and works with us daily to ensure that our students receive the best possible instruction. We have between 75-80 parents, grandparents and community members that volunteer on a regular basis. We offer French instruction in all grades and also have comprehensive Fine Arts and Gifted and Talented programs in place in order to support our students' growth and development in these important curriculum areas.
